Black History Month Drag Story Hour At WANDER Berkshires

WANDER Berkshires, Drag Story Hour Berkshires, and Seeing Rainbows invite families to a joyful and empowering Black History Month Drag Story Hour on Saturday, February 15th at 11 AM at WANDER Berkshires. This free event uplifts Black voices in literature and our community, featuring renowned storyteller Sativo Green in a dynamic and engaging celebration of books, music, and crafts.
As part of this special event, every child in attendance will receive a free book to take home, fostering literacy and expanding their personal libraries. Through captivating storytelling and interactive activities, children and families will engage with narratives that highlight Black excellence, resilience, and joy.
About the Organizers
WANDER Berkshires is a vibrant community space in downtown Pittsfield dedicated to creativity, healing, and inclusivity. A multifaceted venue, WANDER features a recovery-focused café, a community teaching darkroom, a photography-centered gallery, a wellness studio, an event space, and a curated retail area. Founded by queer and transgender individuals, WANDER fosters a welcoming environment that supports artistic expression, connection, and community growth.
Drag Story Hour Berkshires brings inclusive, educational, and joyful storytelling events to the community, celebrating self-expression, imagination, and diversity. Seeing Rainbows is a radical trans-led organization cultivating holistic liberating systems to build solidarity and care. Dedicated to dismantling oppressive structures and creating new, equitable models of support, Seeing Rainbows works to foster transformative change through community-driven initiatives.
