Opening: “Object Memory” Show Feat. Poughkeepsie Artist Alison Owen

For the third exhibition of the year (opening tomorrow, May 16) available items is excited to present a solo show called “Object Memory” with Poughkeepsie-based, multimedia artist Alison Owen.

A successful ceramicist whose work is sold in Japan, France, and the U.S., she’s recently transitioned to a full-time studio artist, using various mediums to create ceramics, collages, and paper reliefs that hover between two and three dimensions. Her work often weaves in themes of motherhood and feminine inclusion and draws attention to interior life, the life of objects, and the stories they hold.
