Demonstrates the complexity of illustration, while illustrating something the ocean. For many years, artists have engaged with the concept of the ocean for many purposes, from wartime propaganda and political statements to compelling book illustrations and lighthearted cartoons.

This collection offers multiple ways to engage with illustration. These works tell stories about the profundity of the ocean and the deep history of images.
