BIFF “Cinematic Adolescence: Coming Of Age Films By Auteurs”
April 20 @ 3:00 PM
$15BIFF is proud to present the final film in its “Cinematic Adolescence: Coming of Age Films by Auteurs” series with Jojo Rabbit, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy named Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.
Howie Arkans will introduce the film which we will watch and will be followed by a discussion of the film. Arkans will propose some questions to help prompt the discussion as well as answer your questions and criticisms. A great and fun way to spend the afternoon! Tickets for the talks are $15 for the general public, $10 for BIFF Reel Friends and OLLI members and may be purchased at https://biffmaauteur.eventive.org
