    • Yes! It’s finally Spring in the mountains. And how do we celebrate? With our first ever Food Issue. Jam packed with irresistible content and photography lead by our indefatigable EIC, Richard Pérez-Feria! From the smashing cover by photographer extraordinaire,Mike Ruiz to the delicious culinary crawl by our resident food and restaurnt expert, Hal Rubenstein, this issue is destined to be a real keeper. With the debut of our new healthcare column and interview with the CEO of Columbia Memorial Health - Hudson, NY, Dorothy Urschel to the new traditions at Liberty Farms from gentleman farmer, Mark Cheffo. And learn about Progressive Hedonism from the food-obsessed tastemaker, Amenia’s own, Dana Cowin.
The Mountains truly come alive on every page and on screens with the innovative design of Kathleen Gates.

    • It's C. Cassis weather.

(Although, if we're being honest, it's always a good time to sip the vermouth-y blackcurrant aperitif—especially at their tasting room in Rhinebeck.)

Co-founder Rachael Petach's Kir Americano is a great way to drink it: "There's so much to be had. There's this beautiful musty, herbaceous, fruity/not fruity flavor that really appeals to me," she told Anthony Giglio (@anthonygiglio) in our Spring 2024 issue. "It's typically layered with so much sugar to make it more palatable, but I love it for the opposite reasons: more herbaceous and more savory."

    • Does anybody know if Alan Cumming ever found his Emmy Awards??

As we get closer to the premiere of our Spring 2025 issue, we're looking back at a few of our cover stars from the archives, including our profile on the award-winning king of the traitors' castle.

"When my brother came to visit the first time he said, ‘You bought your childhood,'" @alancummingreally told @kevsessums for our Winter 2023 cover story. "I think he’s right. When you grow up you don’t really appreciate your surroundings and you certainly don’t appreciate how bucolic things are ’til you go away, and you realize it. […] I do love the western Catskills because it doesn’t feel as if I’m going to bump into people and it feels more removed. You walk down the street in Hudson, and you run into someone you might know, and they go, 'Oh, Alan, hi, I was going to send you a script.' The western Catskills feel a little more sleepy. Not sleepy. Gentle. That’s the word: gentle."
